1. Q: How do I register the program?

   A: To register the program, you should go to the registration page ( http://www.pw-soft.com/buy/index.html ) and pay for the program. After that, a message with your registration key will be sent to the mailbox you specify. Then open the program options (the "Registration" tab), enter your registration code in the "Enter registration code" field and click the "Registration" button. Another method of registration is entering key to the "Unlock" field and click the button in the reminder window.

2. Q: The program informs me that my registration key is incorrect. Why is it so?

   A: Make sure that your key corresponds to the version you are using. You can find this information in the message with the registration key you receive after you buy the program. If the version is correct, check if the key is intended for this program: the keys for Power Notes and Dynamic Notes do not coincide!

3. Q: I get following message: The program runs under administrator rights, but cannot access the system registry. What can I do to fix it?

   A: The most probably reason of this problem is Vista User Account Control (UAC) disable access for Power Notes (with your approval on the first start).

   For disable UAC control you should make the following operation:

   To configure an application to always run elevated
   
   1. Right-click on C:\Program Files\Power Soft\Power Notes\Notes.exe.
   2. Click Properties, and then select the Compatibility tab.
   3. Under Privilege Level, select Run this program as an administrator, and then click OK.

   A: Open the "General" tab in the program settings and select or clear the "Run program with Windows" checkbox.

   A: Open the "General" tab in the program settings and select or clear the "Minimize Toolbar on startup" checkbox.

   A: Yes, double-click the text of the note.

   A:To do it, double-click the area between buttons on the note.

8. Q: I want a program to be started when a certain note appears. Is it possible?

   A: Yes. To enable this feature, open the "Actions" tab in the "Add New Note / Edit Note" window and select the "Start Programs" checkbox. You will see additional tabs for adding programs to be started when the note appears on the desktop.

9. Q: The transparency settings are unavailable for me. Why is it so?

   A: The transparency settings for notes are available only in Windows 2000 and higher. Probably, you have Windows 9x or Windows Me.

10. Q: Are there any limitations concerning the number of notes or size of their text?

    A: The text should not exceed 4000 characters. The number of notes is unlimited.

11. Q: I want a note to appear on certain days only. How can I do it?

    A: You should use the "Alarm Wizard" from the "Add New Note / Edit Note" window. Select "Selected Dates" on the "Repeat" tab. You will see an area with a calendar where you can set the dates you need (up to 32 dates). See Help for details.

12. Q: And how can I set the time when they appear?

    A: You can do it on the "Start/End Date" tab in the "Alarm Wizard". Here you can also set the starting date for displaying the note.

13. Q: How to change the font of note?

    A: Go to the program settings and select "General" tab, there is "Notes fonts" group, there you will can choose font of header and font of note text.
    Note! Chosen font will be used for all created notes.

14. Q: I need a note that could attract my attention even if I go away from the keyboard for some time. Does the program have such a feature?

    A: VIP notes were created especially for such cases. Select the "VIP" checkbox in the "Add New Note / Edit Note" window. Now when the note appears, it will be changing its color every second and will be accompanied with a sound. It will continue “blinking” until you close it.
